Shri Harbans Kapoor was a very simple and decent leader of the BJP. He had a good hold on the public. He was always aware of the problems of the people. Shri Harbans Kapoor’s first win in assembly elections came in 1989 and since then he remained unbeatable. His successful political career of almost four decades and being elected as MLA consecutive eight times, showcase his popularity among the citizens of this state. He was minister of state for rural development and labour from July 11, 1991, to December 6, 1992, in Uttar Pradesh. He also served as the minister of state for urban development from 2001 to 2002 in Uttarakhand.
Harbans Kapoor Ji sudden demise is surely an irreparable loss for the entire state. Apart from being the brilliant public representative, he will always be remembered as a most humble and genuine person who was closely connected with the general public.
