For the very first time, Uttarakhand witnessed the biggest fashion event that was full of glamour and will surely retain in the memories of everybody who got to be a part of it. To promote Uttarakhand at the global fashion level, this show was incepted by ‘Discover Uttarakhand Magazine’.

This event was graced by the benign presence of Shri Satpal  Maharaj Ji, tourism minister, Uttarakhand, who also wishes to take the state forward in depicting its fashionable  culture and feels that this was a good initiative.  Also, UFW was co- powered by the Uttarakhand  Tourism Board.

Before this, the mega fashion events were limited to the metropolitan cities but ‘ Discover Uttarakhand Magazine’ has surely changed the dynamics of this scenario with UFW. With the top major designers of the country showcasing their creativity, aesthetically designed clothes and fashion, this event was accountable to applaud the Indian Fashion. UFW showcased a perfect mix of glamour and contemporary elements.

The idea behind inception of this fashion week is to  offer huge exposure to designers across the country. They also offered a  sizable platform for budding designers, models to showcase their work. Fashion shows no longer consist of a simple stage with a spotlight. Designers continuously push the boundaries of normality. Aimed at preserving the aesthetic values of Indian tradition and coordinating with the new ages fashion requirement, the event played host to eminent fashion designers:

•Vishal Thawani  

One of the most talented designers hailing from the city of dreams, Mumbai. He is the founder and managing director of the brand Dapper and Dare.  He defines his clothes as fashionable not quintessential, they are about being more human and manly. His show stopper was the very renowned ace choreographer Mr. Terence Lewis.

•Victor Robinson

The man who is well versed   with his craft and a known name in the fashion industry. He showcased his beautifully crafted attires which notched ho the glam quotient. His show stopper was the very known face of the television industry, Shweta Tiwari.

• Kingshuk Bhaduri

From making the models look more glamorous with his exceptional designer’s design to showcasing his art in fashion weeks and events, he has left no stone unturned to make his mark in this industry. His show stopper was none other than Mr. Manoj Tiwari, whose presence added a different aura to this event.

• Forever Naveen Kumar

The young Entrepreneur & Designer from whose name has become iconic in the fashion world & making waves in the Indian fashion horizon. The only designers in South India specialized in Sequence Gown’s & costumes with an Italian Embellishment. Samhita Vinya has walked as Celebrity showstopper for Forever Naveen Kumar.

 Apart from this, Many of the notables in the fashion industry, as well as the well-known connoisseurs of fashion were part of thus mega event. Such as, Mukesh Dubey, Sweety Layak, Rosy Ahluwalia, Khushi Chauhan, Nihal Thakur,Sandeep Singh, Shaifali Yadav, Rakesh Tongriya, Renuka Shivam and many more.
